2016 is proving to be another fantastic year for the UK’s only manufacturer of espresso machines – with Fracino being shortlisted for six prestigious awards over the last two months.
At the Insider Made in the Midlands Awards 2016, Fracino scooped the Manufacturing Innovation Award for its extraordinary creativity and speed in designing and supplying bespoke espresso machines for global fast food outlet SUBWAY®.
As a regional winner, Fracino automatically goes through to the finals of the national Made in the UK Awards, Insider’s flagship awards ceremony celebrating the best in British manufacturing. To be held on Friday 17th June, the event will be the big finale of the first week of the 2016 International Festival for Business: Manufacturing Week.
The national Red Ribbon awards on 15th June at Wembley Stadium in London, honour the achievements of exceptional family businesses across the UK. Not only is Fracino shortlisted in the New Frontiers category, but Chairman and Founder, Frank Maxwell, has been nominated for the Lifetime Achievement Award.
On the same evening Fracino is up for two awards in the West Midlands Business Masters 2016 and will go head-to-head against worthy competitors in both the Exporter and Manufacturer categories – the latter which the business won in 2015.
Last but definitely not least, Fracino has been nominated for Expert Export in the SME awards for its success in growing the business through international sales – bringing on board 14 new countries, including Kenya, El Salvador and Guatemala, in the last 17 months alone.
These achievements come on the back of £4m investment into new equipment and premises, producing 13 new machines since 2008, and scooping 15 awards since 2013 – including the EEF’s Smart Product silver award for the SUB1 machines, which have been installed in 400 SUBWAY® stores across England, Ireland and Poland.
